what kind of boat slick?
I was pretty nervous with my new boat..> The pilot house acts like a sail and with wind in that small channel it can get tricky. Add a good current and your in for some work if you are waiting. It gets easier every time.
For me I have to gauge if the current is stronger than the wind and then I go to the down wind/current side of the dock and let the elements to the work for me... If you try the other side by yourself you are going to be in some trouble. Once you get a system down it's easy..
You are lucky you can experiment during the week.

I have a Mako 192 w/T-top. Honda 130 on the back.
It's nice having every other Monday off. Provided Mother Nature cooperates.

Actually the bridge wanted me to hurry through so he could drop it, there was no traffic river/harbor side after me.
The Blynman turns into a washsing machine pretty darn quick, especailly depending on how hard the tide is running.
Beatuiful set up there Mr. H. I'll keep my eye out for you that way we can not catch fish together.

Nothing like no fish support to keep you going
I've seen that place look like a washing machine and boats will swell from one side to the other... It's all timing riding a wave through....
I've also seen (i'm sure we all have going through there) a boat hit a swell then get caught up on the pilings. Its is not for the faint at heart some busy days.

Downeast boats like mine with 3+ ft full keels have their advantages !

I used to FLY on the drift in my Parker, not so much anymore !!!

Trying to figure that one out.. buckets or a chute might be in my future. Things you don't think about before purchase. I'll take the pros of the pilot house though. Love this boat so far.
