For instance, "They are also essential prey for recreationally and economically important species such as striped bass." To which they answered about the percentages that menhaden constitutes only 8%. So what? We complain about crabs, bay anchovies, worms, and other food sources as well. Why should they be left off the list? If that 8% provides vital nutrients that the other 92% does not how can they say this is not valid. They really didn't present the right facts IMHO. I also like the "non-recreationally important" classification of croaker and spot.
