No problem in Maryland...We ban the Anti-Christ otherwise known as Omega. Our pound nets do enough damage without the vacuum patrol. I did enjoy the spin on data that fails to answer the concern. For instance, "They are also essential prey for recreationally and economically important species such as striped bass." To which they answered about the percentages that menhaden constitutes only 8%. So what? We complain about crabs, bay anchovies, worms, and other food sources as well. Why should they be left off the list? If that 8% provides vital nutrients that the other 92% does not how can they say this is not valid. They really didn't present the right facts IMHO. I also like the "non-recreationally important" classification of croaker and spot.
