new spot

I have been scoping out potential surf fishing spots from the boat...then figuring how to get there...After loooongs walks around private property and talking to lots of old timers....I think I found a sweet hole...Hope to go back tonight to see.

When I got there this afternoon (without my rod)...the bait and fish were in tight to the beach...go figures.( I usually scope places on several different tides, this is a photo I took this afternoon near low)

look good or what?

I wasn't going to post that last one but I figured I could blank out a few of the key features.

It looks different from the shore then by boat.

Yes, from a boat, I have cast eels almost on the beach, you can get pretty tight...as long as it is not rough. I have been dying to try this from the shore for the last few years but never got around from doing the legwork.

I was in that exact spot about 3 weeks ago and the bait pods were so thick you could almost stand on them....
