I have not done it for about 6 or 7 years but we used to catch all you wanted in April right off the beach on Plum Island.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

Tony I uncovered the boat this weekend and will be going out next week to try a spot off -------- island. A customer of mine has numbers to a spot he got some nice fish at last March and asked if I wanted to tag along in my boat next week. This is a spot I know you could reach on a good day.

Tony if you launch off either Scituite or Green Harbor you don't have to go out very far. A little later a very famous striper spot holds some real good cod and haddock
