Scent or Not to Scent...

I started this question in another thread but would like a more thourough response section.
What are your thoughts on scenting?
You do/don't?

This is one thing that I am contemplating on changing this year.

I add fish oil to the eels i make- today i had a bass hit one of my baits 3 times before it found the hook...That bass wanted to kill my eel and had no doubts in its mind that my rubber eel was not real. When i used to fish other soft plastics that were not scented, i would usually get one whack tops and if i missed the hookup that was it...
scenting is very important IMO..

I use em. The only evidence I have is that a number of times I have nailed a fish immediately after scenting. On the other hand, I have caught on lures with out scent then added it and not caught. Who knows. Gotta get myself some of them surf hogs

No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.

I also have brought this up. I bought the sandworm potion and plan to try it this year but would you want to put the sandworm potion on a topwater plug? Or bunker oil on a tube n worm? I can't wait to try a little WD-40 as well just for fun to see if it actually works.
