Sky tonight

Awesome moon with a bright star/planet just below. Anyone know what it is? Venus? Jupiter? Maybe our resident astronomer, DZ, will chime in.

Jupiter.

Venus is always in the eastern sky before sunrise, or in the western sky after sunset.

Even though the brightness may have shut down the best bite for me since early September it was a beautiful once the clouds moved off to reveal the moon and Jupiter. Can it get any better? Just so much to experience and it never gets old.

Been trying show my son the Jupiter / moons and Saturn when they've been around with a small telescope. Binoculars work too..
