Had my 1st attack in a long time today due to FaceBook! Glad I keep my McAfee up-to-date (thank you Comcast for the "free" anti-virus).
Noticed 2-3 friends had similar links in their postings with a lot of numbers following the
http://############. I thought 2X about viewing but clicked anyway. The viral attack alarms started going off. I disconnected from the internet (unplugged cable) and ran a full, deep virus scan. McAfee found and quarantined 3 files. Shut down, reconnected to internet and rebooted, everything has since been OK. I disconnected from the internet since I did the virus sending anything out from my computer as a base server to any of my contacts lists.
Message to myself, if a file name looks out of the ordinary: DO NOT CLICK ON IT!
Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.
