Favorite siwash?

I've always used the VMC's and never had a problem but have heard a bunch of guys recently say they've bent them out quite often. Anyone use the Mustad 9510XXXDT's?

I haven't had any problems with VMCs but I don't use anything smaller than a 6/0. The smaller ones are pretty thin and I could see them bending on a good fish.

I use VMC's but they do bend.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Mustad Duratin for plugs. I bought 100 6/0 and they last 3x as long as the VMC trebles on the plugs. usual demise for them is a bent tip from hitting a rock, not rust.

Gami SS 8/0 or 9/0 for riggies. might as well be gaffing the fish with those hooks!

Those Mustads aren't stainless. They're a tinned hook, and much, much stronger than Mustad's stainless ones. Mustad stainless Siwash hooks are crap--especially the open eyed ones. The eyes get brittle and break way too easily.

And Mustad tinned Siwash are the only ones I use. I find that the VMCs aren't as strong, and rust way too soon for what they cost.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
