Preserving a deer leg?

Is there any redneck way to preserve a deer leg? Looking to use it as a leg for a table in our camper. How much would it be ball park to have a taxidermist do it?

I had a human leg done, ran me about a grand. Preserving the actual hair was the toughest.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan
