Thanks for the support at Chuck's wake Mike. I needed it.
For those interested Clammer has posted photos of some worm spinners and a lure called a Sparky. Both were popular in the 60s and 70s. The Sparky could be fished from the shore or boat - all you needed to do was change to a single hook and add a seaworm.
We used the #5.

V.B., your heirs will be rich beyond compare with the wealth of memorabilia you've collected over the years. {Good for you, and them}
Perhaps some of it will find it's way into a Historical Fishing Museum someday...one never knows.
**I knew the Clammer had old stuff, I just thought it was only the things attached to his body...

I remember going to Spags and my mother letting us go stare at that stuff in the fishing department.

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!
Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?

Unfortunately Spag's closed in 2004. I bought my first surf rod there, a St. Croix Ben Doerr. I miss that place. I used to go once a week when I was a kid.
