First casts of the year....

Just finished cleaning up a Daiwa Millionaire CV-Z 253 that a friend handed off to me. (He doesn't take care of his gear if it isn't fly gear.)
Headed out to Redd's Pond to see if this reel is going to fit in the arenal (and to see how uneducated my thumb is....)

I picked up the 1st couple of Largemouth of the year today when I made a side stop on the way to the supermarket....nothing big........but felt good

i never fresh water fish this year I may go get a license.

I hit some sweetwater near me this weekend too. Coulple of pickeral was all I got, but one was decent size and got the blood flowing! now bring on the bass!

ah my fellow northshorians? I too am eager to start fishing. I finally went through tackle a bit over the weekend. When you start catching 14 inch schoolies let me know

I remember getting my first schoolie in May last year in the annisquam after leaving a doctors appointment and putting off going back to work for a half hour.

This was before i lived up here so maybe I'll get them earlier. I think its safe to exchange info on schoolies as we will all be getting the itch.
