Popper Sale
The Benny's in Westerly(RI) has Atom poppers for $2.75! They are the Swingin' Swiper which is the same as Striper Swiper only with a single rear hook. Perfect for Bluefishing and it won't hurt the wallet when you lose a few. The have 3 sizes (2oz 1oz 3/4oz) in assorted colors. I grabbed 5 poppers for $13.75, a good deal I'd say

...too late for me
The Benny's in bristol took their stuff off the shelf before halloween leaving me with no place to buy decent plugs at reasonable prices...there is another one closer to where i live in East Providence, but they have nowhere near Bristol's selection. Good thing for me I already had a couple extras of my favorite plugs, enough to get me through the rest of the season.

That's a great price! I happen to have about 5 dozen filling a five gallon pail from the old days when you could buy seconds at the factory but in all honesty , I think I paid about $2.50 each so that Benny's sale price is excellent.

Do those versions have a belly swivel in case you want to use them on bass and hang a second hook?
Even if not, $2.50 for a bluefish plug ain't bad.

They made it so you can't attach a treble at the belly, but like you said price is right. They had some pretty good colors too- blue,yellow,gold,blue-white,red-white and more. They had 2 big bins of them. They may be factory seconds, they were marked "special", but I see nothing wrong with them. I'm going back for more saturday. Westerly Benny's keeps there fishing stuff out all year too.
