Jeff "Skunk" Baxter. A couple of guys I worked with actually threw down a few brews with him in Mudville Pub in Newport when he was here for one of the festivals.

Jim Gordon,
Jim was a major studio guy in the 70s, recorded with everybody!
He was also the drummer for a few of Eric Clapton's bands (derek & the dominos)
Jim co wrote the song "Layla" with Clapton (Jim wrote the piano 2nd half of the song)
Unfortunate Jim is/was NUTS !!!
Beat his mother to death with a hammer because he "kept hearing voices in his head) he's still in prison to this day !

Bernard Purdie,
This guy recorded on 100s of hits.
One of the funkiest drummers ever!
Invented the "purdie shuffle"

Guitar players.
This is a pretty good mix of Dan's guitar solos. (played pretty well)
Most are the work of Larry Carlton (who of anyone was close to being a full band member)
Skunk Baxter did the work on Reeling in the years.

Great stuff. Steely Dan are my 3rd favorite group of all time behind the Beatles and the Smiths. They were #2 while I was in college in the 70's. Can't Buy Me A Thrill was the first record album I ever bought.
Recent stuff is a little too jazzy for me, but their earlier music is classic. I think it was Denny Dias along with Skunk Baxter doing the guitar work on the earlier albums.

Hey,
I only "monopolized" the drummers they used.
I haven't even started with some of the great sax players, back up singers, keyboardist/piano players, ect.....
