This is my brandy new 12' afaw universal with low riders , double rung , x flock grips ,,$375.00 .. Had it built for BI/Cutty.. Fell down before my first cast on the Island .. no , not on the rocks !!! .. On a dirt road with grass in the middle and on the edges. Fished first night ,,no tip ,, Still caught fish though .. one of the cows ...

Ouch...that sucks...at least it was broken close enough to the tip where it can still be usable as a rod in the future....could have snapped it in the middle.

Yes ..Rod is fine with 2" off the top .. DZ had another tip for me ,as the original did not fit 2" down .. Rod still cast and fished 1.5 ounce bucktails fine . Yep .. I had an extra rod,,2 reels,, and spools of braid with me .. I know me .

I went down like a sack of potatoes last night in a rogue wave, sacrificed rod and reel to King Neptune.
Just need Clammer to round things out.

Easy there killer - hope you get your rod back.
Actually, Clammer tends to drive over rods between the reel seat and the first collector guide so no - not the same.
