Nothing with stripes yet but got something to eat some wood. Actually the plug is made from sign board. Very light weight and makes a very lively plug. I contacted an online sign board company and they were offering the board in three different densities. I got a free trial pack of three boards, one in each density. This one was made from the highest density board they offered.

Nice pic George! In all the pics I have of fish on plugs 99.9% of them have the fish on the belly hook! (That being bass of course).

Congrats on a nice fish! Pencils are my favorite spring plug. That one has a nice look to it.

retire that plug now before you lose it to some sharp toothed fish.
congrats Mike, it IS an accomplishment.
now you can dress your plugs with eelskins, I give you permission, but stay away from live ones.

Yikes! I caught one! Only @12-13 lbs, but the first success I've had with these lipless swimmers........which I now feel more confident using. They cast great and swim great, but waves seem to interfere with their action and that sort of negates their casting advantage over metal lips. Pissa swimmer for slow water in the canal, though

Been stuck in the 20# and under club on wood for what seems a eternity. Drop my only fish that had a chance at getting the boga down to 25# right at my feet. 28# fish was taking by a friend on a pencil of mine. happy hunting.

Haven't been fishing anywhere near enough this year, here's the only decent fish I've managed about 18-20# on one of my spooks.

Here's a couple of plugs that have been good to me...
The yellow pencil fish was 32#. That little donny style swimmer is a plug I'm gaining a lot of confidence in.
