I have some rigs at home, but no gear for cod. I don't own a boat. Does anyone have a space?

Thanks, but not me, like Kav I'm still in my slip in quincy as long as possible. Getting to Plymouth would be a pain.

I'm planning some codding in my area soon also.

Hope you can find a good spot, the dogfish are unbelievable out there right now...

Good Luck..

mrmacey, I'd recommend the brant rock ramp, it's a better ramp and closer to cod.

Green Harbor in Marshfield, from route 3 get off at the Duxbury/Pembroke exit (Rt 14) follow that east, bear left after the Duxbury Police station, straight across rt 3A (next to millbrook motors) then it's a few miles up on your right.
Great ramp with a dock to tie up to, instead of the mickey mouse operation the plymouth ramp provides.
The best part is once your boat is launched, you can be jigging for cod in about 10minutes, where Plymouth is a long hall to get out of that harbor. Good Luck, I just had some freshly frozen cod for dinner, it's the best eating fish in the sea.

Me and My Dad and my Uncle Pete are going thats all i know. I think high tide in plymouth is around 11:00 i dont think we need to go out that far, i'm going to talk to some people and see if i can get some reports around plymouth but 5am sounds good 2 me. we will help each other launch boats as there is no dock but there is a little floting dock that me and my dad use when we go out there.

Getting in is no problem just roll back and whenthe boat slides off hit the gas to go back up!! The thing is to pull the boat up the ramp at low tide, Ten you might need 4X4
I have one if needed

20 miles

It is not believed that there was any human habitation of the Stellwagen Bank area before it sank beneath the waves as sea level rose. However, the area had at one time supported vegetation and terrestrial animals, including mastodon and mammoth. Bones and teeth from these beasts have been recovered by fishing gear from the area. I even heard there are a couple huts down there!! never know what your gonna catch!
