rock...remember scup need to be 10" to keep (you can keep 50 per boat)

and seabass need to be 12" to keep (forgot the limits)

seabass is EXCELLENT to eat. (watch those gillplates, they will cut your hands) The large males have a green hump on their back.

Scup make great Striper baits. Cut there Dorsel fins and hook them thru the eyes with a big Circle hook. Used thim in CT all the time.

How important is it to cut the dorsal off a scup used for bait?

Black Sea Bass is my favorite fish to eat around here. Good stuff.
