Talking Favorite Stupid Question......

that you hear frequently asked in bait and tackle shops? Now I know what some of you will say...."there is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people" and I think for the most part that is true. You must admit however, that you hear some pretty dumb questions out there.

My top stupid question......."what type of lure's do bluefish like to hit?".......as we all know, bluefish will hit a 19" black and white television if you troll it through the water!

Anyone else have a favorite, often heard stupid question?

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

This wasn't so much a question,more like a statement.
Last year walking back to my truck I was carrying a 30" bass and a guy walking his dog says to me:"Looks like you got yourself a fish."
Hmmm...........

Back when I was a kid, Mad Magazine used to have a regular feature called "Snappy Answers to Stupid Questions". My alltime favorites---guy walks in the front door soaked to the skin and his wife asks, "Is it raining?" Snappy answer--"No, I came home by sewer". Guy wrecks his car and is sitting on the ground dazed, steering wheel around his neck, bystander asks, "have an accident?" Snappy comeback--"no thanks, just had one".

"Gonna do some fishin?"--"No, I'm gonna rob a bank, I'm just setting up my alibi"

Out in the boat in the middle of nowwhere, on a certain structure me and a buddy are into fish and both rods are bent way over.
A guy in a 38 foot cruiser passes close enough to yell to me.

"Is this a good spot?"

"I don't know why the truck is stuck, I've got it in 4wd but the wheels don't move..."
Heard three times by me last year with girls stuck on the sand while their drive selector was in neutral.
"What the f%#$ you doin' in my girfreinds car..."
Heard twice last year by me from chucklehead boyfriends running up on me after I saved the car from the incoming tide.
Favorite comeback by me...
"I was trying to take her pants off, but I guess you showed up just in time!!!"
Rick
PS- I also narrowly averted getting punched in the face after one of these encounters!
Tough guys!!!
