Unhappy eels

the eels are in trouble and as a new year's resolution, i am not going to use them anymore, or at least until I hear that they have started to recover-
heres a good link about the decline in eel populations

and heres a good article about eels in general

Hope everybody had the forethought to freeze or brine their deceased eels from last season....

This could be the year of the riggie - or eel bob with a nice skin on it....

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

When you're up my way this coming season you'll have to school me in proper eel fishing now that I have a setup more suited to that type of fishing .

I'm with you Eben. Never really fished eels that much so it will be more sluggos for me.

Ya gotta pass the eel agility test first, BW....

Hey, I'd be happy to - I'll see ya as soon as those buck-toothed beauties show up in the Spring
