visualize an egg with its pointy side up. the nail is just below the center point facing up at 45 degrees.

Here's a couple of screw eye eggs, the hook hanger is a piece of stainless wire stuck in a drill hole....

Tony;
Hang the jig on it when you cast.. it falls off when it splashes... more aerio-dynamical (in my besy GWB voice)
the second spot we fished they do well with them... keeps the jig off the bottom....

Back Beach Jake made me one a few years ago.
Great for delivering light baits out into the surf or anywhere. Seaworms, clams, sandeels,teasers, small rubber to deadstick or twitch.
Egg is aerodynamic/concentrated /focussed weight.

I got spooled at Chatham once, using one of those and a redgill.
Unfortunately it turned out to be a seal.

What came first the Fly or the Egg.
Please,Looks like a Mr.Pinhead starter kit.
I understand there are many ways to skin a cat.I don't care if every fifty ever landed came on a egg I would never throw one.
Just not my bag.
Real surfcasters don't throw eggs.
See ya later.I gotta go put a exlarge on the duplicator.

Mr. Pinhead starter kit I think the "broomstick rig" goes back to Jerry Sylvester days. Sometimes they want a jig in a place you'd hang up without one.

I throw little bitty Storms and such with it. But Deceivers would work better, I bet. After what I saw last Fall, I'm gonna tie some Krill flys. Lavender with an orange eye/gut spot.
