Spook Question

HI;
The attached picture has 2 spook type plugs.
the Herring color (top) is 7" by 1 1/8" and has 4/0 hooks.
the green one is 6 1/2" by 1 1/18" and has 3/0 hooks.
Both are about 3 oz and have lead in the tail. Neither one
has a belly weight.

The green one works just fine but the Herring (top) will lay on its side
when being worked. I'm sure putting some weight in the belly will
get it ride correctly.

Just wondering if the difference in body styles would cause the
Herring one to ride differently.
The other answer is to just build Green ones. ( it must be the color ).

Any suggestions are appreciated.

By the way. I center drill for the wire thru on the lathe so I believe
the center hole is in fact centered.

Thanks
