Stopped by to drop some plugs off at M & D's this am for the MAC Raffle! Had my gear with me to hit a favorite spot but my back was hurting a bit........not enough to keep me from making a few casts though! So I did and boy....am I glad!
Banged about 10 fish between 24 and 30 inches....2 were 30 inchers and they were saweeeeet on topwater wood! First few took the 1 ounce pencils and then......fish were rolling on top and pushing some "BIG" bait......right in front of me! Might have been herring? Maybe bunker??? They were good size from what I could see clearing the water....at least 6 inches in length and anxious to sprout wings the way the fish were pushing them up!!! So I threw on a "Blitz Seeker" as it matched the bait perfectly and it met with the stripers approval!
