Some handcarved bombers 1st lures
I havent got a lathe for fear of instant divorce but having lurked for a while so i handcarved some basswood recently and based them on Gary 2 tigers ...these are like bomber long A ...2 oz 7 inch , leave a wide tail wake >>>> on a slow retteive and dive 1-2 ft with a tight ~~~~~~~~~and back up quick . only took a day each through wired, sealed with epoxy like Gary 2's. Had to cut and file the lips ....anyone know where to get bomber lips ?

That's some awesome work. Funny thing pops, a whole lot of us wood spinners are now experimenting with handcarves. That puts you way ahead of the curve.

extremely nice Pops
in the old days people sat on
their front porch watching the
world go by...and whittled wood.
you have taken that
to a whole new level

Pops ... thats the one I made from a beach chair .. unweighted maple.. I traced a cordell redfin for the lure . I tipped a real redfin nose side down on the edge of a table and traced the lip on a piece of paper for a template ..I'll swim this this weekend ,. too many irons in the fire .. keep forgettin .
