trucks with bumper stickers...

perhaps its because of my age and what i thought would give my truck some flavor, but yes, it has many a sticker on it... figured there have got to be other people out there that have some stickers on their rides. god, ive seen beach buggies with several beach stickers for every year for the past 20 yrs on them!!!

heres my ford bronco aka the black bomber and note the pivitol sticker of our existence on the far left (put it there because most people on 495 are passing me when im doing 75-80 and thus it may? be easier to see when ure doing 90 )

That's awesome! I love the larsen's one! I have a black suburban aka the "quahog cruiser" that has a bunch of beach stickers and one from margaritaville that's pretty cool as well as the s-b sticker. I need to get some rod holders for the front bumper but I don't knwo how much I need them with a suburban.

I removed all my decals. I think more than anything they give a good indication of what is inside your ride to steal. My next ride won't have a rod rack on it either. Best to fly under the radar whenever possible.

On my back window I have a SGCCCFC (Stan Gibbs Canal tournament), a VT sticker from Vermont, a SB sticker, a SOL sticker, a Ditch Trolls and a Lamiglas sticker. I had a WMVY blue lobster but it fell off.

Drivers' side cargo area window, a Habs, and a Town of Brookhaven beach sticker from my past life. Passenger side window has an All Star rods sticker.

Rear bumper, a "Save Buzzards Bay" one.

Front bumper still has my 2005 Suffolk County (LI) outer beach 4x4 permit.

I hear ya on going incognito but i used to have a ford van ok
and i put the BEST All American hockey puck style locks on it on the inside on
all doors so that even if they broke windows and had tools they were not getting the doors open period.

Also, i do random sting operations, where i wait with my walkin tall stick in hiding waiting for a thief to even try....

with cell phone and camera in hand.... because i have been RIPPED blind more than once and one of these days i'm gonna catch them RED handed and they will be real SORRY.

Real Vermonters don't have VT bumper stickers. They know where they live.

My Dad had one of those oval location stickers. You know Black trim white background and black letters. It was the best one I ever saw. Two Letters FU!

Luds - two schools of thought, with the fishing stickers a cop may be (or may not be ) less likely to ticket you when you are parking somewhere to go fishing, as opposed to teen drinkin'. I think, unfortunately, it is a wash either way

Might need to do stealth decals next time

I figure if you got no bumper stickers you are hiding something.

I need some of the ones G. Carlin had on his car

I have some stickers on the rear window of the pickup and a homey-made rod rack in the bed. I'm still waiting for the day I return to my truck and find the rod-rack thru my windshield ...As I make my trek back to my truck, I always wonder/worry bout that.......I don't fear getting attacked, I fear having my truck stolen or damaged!! My wife would never find some of the places I hide

& - One thing I learned from some crooks I kneow, before leaving the truck...I try to make it look like I'm not hiding anything in the cab.....I try to make it real obvious that there's nothing to steal but the truck itself....

..and Johns' right, I'm SURE the stickers on my truck have saved me numerous times when parked in some....places.

I like the stickers, they keep me wishin I was fishin...I only put em on the glass though, not the body/bumpers

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Good points. I do all of the above.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole

very true luds, and though i would never have a roof rack, i think it also depends highly on where and when you fish to have something stolen. i also have a very trusting personality because i have YET to have anything of min get stolen... owning a truck or my size these days, i have always suspected the first thing to go would be my full 32 gallon tank of gas that my hog travels with. as much as i would love to travel stealthy, i have always loved seeing cars out on the street or around the cape and islands with stickers and thus starting by putting a few on and then it grew from there. many of the spots i fish have little more than (and being honest here) a couple to a few cars of fisherman at any one point, and most of the times i may be the only truck there. sooo, if i fished in more in more populated areas, i would probably not have any stickers, but as of now nothing has happened and will hope that continues to be the case

stickers also help indentify individuals, which I guess can be good or bad
Good because it can help identify friendlies when you pull up to a spot, but bad because your spot could be compromised even if you never told a soul you were there! all it takes is for somebody to drive by the spot, see your car, then post it on the interblab, to use a Clammer term.
