I removed all my decals. I think more than anything they give a good indication of what is inside your ride to steal. My next ride won't have a rod rack on it either. Best to fly under the radar whenever possible.

On my back window I have a SGCCCFC (Stan Gibbs Canal tournament), a VT sticker from Vermont, a SB sticker, a SOL sticker, a Ditch Trolls and a Lamiglas sticker. I had a WMVY blue lobster but it fell off.

Drivers' side cargo area window, a Habs, and a Town of Brookhaven beach sticker from my past life. Passenger side window has an All Star rods sticker.

Rear bumper, a "Save Buzzards Bay" one.

Front bumper still has my 2005 Suffolk County (LI) outer beach 4x4 permit.

Sticker

My Dad had one of those oval location stickers. You know Black trim white background and black letters. It was the best one I ever saw. Two Letters FU!

Luds - two schools of thought, with the fishing stickers a cop may be (or may not be ) less likely to ticket you when you are parking somewhere to go fishing, as opposed to teen drinkin'. I think, unfortunately, it is a wash either way

Might need to do stealth decals next time

Good points. I do all of the above.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

I have a very small striper decal on rear window(not big on stickers on car, but couldn't resist this one from SWE), and sometimes I will put a note on dash with reason for parking- fishing- and my name and cell phone#. I have never gotten a ticket and have parked in some not so friendly places over the years. Also, I never, ever leave anything in the auto. I know alot of guys who keep ALL their gear in their vehicle. Not a good idea. It's a pain in the ass to lug your gear back and forth from house to car every trip but it may save you some problems down the line. I know of several guys who have been wiped out.

Only thing left in my vehicle while fishing are my shoes, and of course whatever my kids spill on the floor....cheez its, cookies, binkies, etc.

I've never been one for over stocking my truck with extra gear period or while I'am fishing, the only thing left in my truck when Iam fishing is an empty coffee mug, work boots or flip flop's,extra shirt and a rag towle.
No crumbs, sippie cup, cookies, candy wrapers no nothing

Leaving stuff inside is just begging for misfortune

very true luds, and though i would never have a roof rack, i think it also depends highly on where and when you fish to have something stolen. i also have a very trusting personality because i have YET to have anything of min get stolen... owning a truck or my size these days, i have always suspected the first thing to go would be my full 32 gallon tank of gas that my hog travels with. as much as i would love to travel stealthy, i have always loved seeing cars out on the street or around the cape and islands with stickers and thus starting by putting a few on and then it grew from there. many of the spots i fish have little more than (and being honest here) a couple to a few cars of fisherman at any one point, and most of the times i may be the only truck there. sooo, if i fished in more in more populated areas, i would probably not have any stickers, but as of now nothing has happened and will hope that continues to be the case

if ya throw a label on there trim the corners or else they will lift up and peel off.

I hear ya on going incognito but i used to have a ford van ok
and i put the BEST All American hockey puck style locks on it on the inside on
all doors so that even if they broke windows and had tools they were not getting the doors open period.

Also, i do random sting operations, where i wait with my walkin tall stick in hiding waiting for a thief to even try....

with cell phone and camera in hand.... because i have been RIPPED blind more than once and one of these days i'm gonna catch them RED handed and they will be real SORRY.
