Crafty, Here's Your Centerfold Shot

As promised, I worked up a near perfect tautog shot for you and the legions of tog fans on this site.

He's a Cutty boy with great markings. There's a story behind the image; I must have inadvertently spun the dial on the shutter speed and had it boosted up to 1/800 of a second at an ISO equivalent of 500, the flash fired but was not in sync with the shutter speed so the image was cropped by a darkened frame, however, the tog was dead nuts in the center and I managed to capture some remarkable detail. I love happy accidents. Enjoy.

Wow....thanks!...real nice, Mike...

That's a great shot - I was actually out fishing early this morning with Dr. Timmy O'Nitis himself, the famous Irish tog specialist - I'll have to show him that one tomorrow morning

Hell, that's so nice I'm gonna put it up over the Farrah poster in my tackle room...

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

someone is going to have to tell crafty that farah's gone to the angles in the sky. i surely don't have the heart.
