Can't go on Thursday, but I am booked for next Sunday on a Montauk based boat. Bunch of my friends got together and chartered the Celtic Quest. Good luck if you go, fishing has been crazy good lately.

Celtic Quest, was so close to us last week, it snagged lines in it's anchor line when it pulled up.

All of the boats are fishing the same area, generally within sight of each other.

Good luck tomorrow, post a report! i got to try one of those trips this winter...
Do you guys have a preference between the Island Current and the Frances Fleet? The advandate of the Frances Fleet is that I can hit George's afterwards for a seafood pot pie...
Is one outfit better, or more friendly, than the other?

Please be sure to post back on how you made out so I have some idea what to expect on Sunday. Today the fleet hammered them again but the bite was a little later.

Paul, You alive? maybe you passed out?
SUPER codfishing on both boats 2/24
Today, 2/24 both the ISLAND CURRENT II & III were out and reported phenomenal CODFISHING. Rods were bent over steady all night & early morning with FULL BOAT limits being obtained. Hi-hooks in the 30's (ORL). Many customers carefully releasing and throwing back fresh green cod.
Both Captain's reported a later bite then we have seen in the week of trips prior. All fish were caught on fresh skimmers and heavy chumming.

They all seem to exaggerate their reports at times but he seems to work harder than the other boat down IMO
