Snaped pull cord

CRAP My pull cord snaped on my johnson 9.9. Has anyone replaced one before? The shop wants 75.00 an hour. I'm pretty handy, and with a few pointers I should be able to do it myself.

I have one of the modern "Johnsons".......no pull cords you just rub it and it starts up!

my dad could probably give some pointers, i'll ask him and get back to you.

If I don't have anything to do with the water, It ain't worth doing.

go to ace hardware.
buy "lawnmower" pullcord.
install.
if your handy, you can figure out the perfect length to make the pull-cord.
good luck.
