Being in education might not be the most lucrative venture one might choose. However, the helping the kids and the April and Summer vacations are key. Last year during Spring break, I had to go on my honeymoon and missed out on some nice fish. This year, being married was alittle different. But I managed to get out for five trips anyway. All five days I was able to catch fish. 4 out of the 5 days I was able to catch keepers. After all was said and done I did keep 3 fish. 1 for me

And one each for my parents and grandparents.

I started on Friday 4/14/06. I was in CT. Lets put it this way, I could have gambled if I wanted to. But, I chose to gamble on fishing instead and landed this nice 21# fish.

Had a few more trips down to CT during the week and caught decent fish up to 32" on poppers and live dace. On Friday, I decided I would go give it a shot in my backyard. Living in Western MA this is one of the only 2 months of the year I can catch a stripah without driving 100 miles. I was very happy to land this 24" on Friday.

Today was a good day too. I got up a little late after last night

But made it down to the river around 7:30. I landed 4 fish over 30" in 30 minutes. All fat! Then it shut off. Here are the 2 I kept for my parents and grandparents. What a way to end a vaca!

I have seen Mike and his brother in action Duke. I think you owe him an apology......that would be the right thing to do. You don't know him from Adam, the guy keeps a couple of fish and you claim to know what he has in his freezer?

He is within the bounds of the law and who are you to criticize?

Fish Killers all of you. Whales, tuna, cod, sharks, herring, eels the list is endless. I am just following the law, its not my repsponsiblity , who's is it them. Keep filling your f--ing freezers with dried out frost bitten fish and we can all go back to fun trips for bluefish. Tag the little f-ers and throw them back, all of them. Use cricle hooks ,while you are it. Admit they don't taste that great anyways.

Wow, nice job sticking up for Mikey everybody, looks like I don't have to go around watching his back like in the old days playing lacrosse ( I got kicked out of more than one game for taking somebody down after they hit my little brother!).
Anyhow, Duke, if it makes you feel any better, I release enough for the both of us. My girl still says I never bring her home enough fish.

Listen the guy just asked a question.I simple reply would have been suffice.Mikey an I did try but I think by then the whole internet full of bandalero slinging cowboys had rounded up the posse' an where tar an featherin pour old Duke.Seems he's just cirlclin the wagons at this point.He has a opinion he is welcomed to it.He is under the impression Mikey keeps alot of fish.He is concerned about the fishery.Thats not really a bad thing.Lets not be baby's about this if u have something to say Make believe he is standin in front of u before u mouth off. Lets show a little respect.I let a several hundreds of fish go every year.I also keep several hundred lbs of fish.It is my right.I do my part for conservation I go to the meetings an let my voice be heard.But I like to eat fish had some for dinner last night.an I still have'nt wet a line yet this yr.The dent a recreational puts in the fisherey when u consider how many target stripers is a small drop in the bucket of what a big net picks up daily.
