YASBR - Yet Another Striped-Bass.com Raffle to benefit S-B

YASBR - Yet Another Striped-Bass.com Raffle

Time has come again for a site fundraiser to help offset the costs of running the site and keeping it free for all of our members. We usually run one or two of these a year and the last one was 10 months ago. As most of you know, this site is funded by two ways, our quality sponsors and through site raffles like these. This is what keeps the lights on at S-B, buys the software, pays for the (new) server, pays me like the employee of the month at KFC . I don't sell tackle online or have 500 advertisers doing everything from offshore trips to Turkey Friolators.

I have recently brought us onto a new server with more space which is bigger, faster, and more reliable with “premium” bandwidth. This new box, as well as some new software coming online like the gallerys, will carry us for at least then next year or so and will allow for us to do a lot more, including a few nifty things I may add down the road in the next version of Striped-Bass.com expected to go live AFTER the fall run . For me, creating S-B is both a labor of love AND a second job. I have had wonderfull opportunities due to this site and the people that make our community, but it also is my second job (I work in the low paying public sector).

So what is on the block for the raffle? Well, as usuall, when the fantastic custom builders put forward their work in one of the swaps, they GENEROUSLY donate a set for the benefit of S-B. So Top Prize in this raffle is One ENTIRE SuperSwap set of 20 something plugs built and donated by the FINE custom builders of S-B (thanks again guys!)

There will be some other prizes as well as several builders, sponsors, and members have stated that will donate items for this S-B raffle as well. This will be one stinkin’ sweet raffle! Pictures to follow!

So, if you have taken enjoyment from S-B and out community, met some new fishing buddies, or learned a thing or two, if you can spare a little coin to donate to S-B on some chances for some great prizes we’d certainly appreciate it - As a side note, particpation in this raffle will reap some other benefits down the road

Ticket prices:

1 for $10
3 for $20
10 for $50 (because some asked for it)

Duration - from now until 11:59 PM, Friday September 15th. (date moved back a few days as I have to work)

Drawing - location To Be Determined, but possibly at the S-B Meeting Hall on Airport Rd in Warwick

How it will work - use the link below for PayPal and please be SURE to add your S-B name in the comments section along with how many tickets you want and shoot a PM to the user: yasbr so I can keep a good record for everyone.

Or if you do not have PayPal and want to snail mail a check:

Make it out to Linesider Technologies

Linesider Tech
PO Box 9183
Warwick, RI. 02889

Again, Thank You for your Support

One quick questions, will we need to be physically there to be eligible for the raffle? or will another ticket be drawn if the holder is not present? Just curious.
