Depends on the conditions that year such as water temperature & prevalence of baitfish. No bait no fish, is mostly true. If the water is warm you could bet on the season being extended.

Best advice I have though is to just go. Won't catch anything sitting at home putting together the pieces of where they might be. You will learn more from your own experiences.

Many large fish have come from those waters over the years late in the season. What's an hour or so every nite out of your life? If I lived there I wouldn't be hanging it up yet.

With the winter holdovers,,,,,, it's never completely over.
Just something about catching stripers in a blizzard that kicks in the adrenolin and warms your heart for hours.
And the standing on the edge of flats as folks drive by after a snowstorm is a thing of beauty,,,, and serious stares(?).
I've a new spot to add to the list this year, that makes 4 SoCo spots for me.
