who's done for the season?

Im toast. work is getting busy and i just dont have the time any more. Rods are about to go up on the racks till may. I'll poke around once in a while for a sschoole or 2, but the big rods are going up-

howd everyone do? I couldnt muster a single fish over 30 lbs, but i took june to mid october off, so i dont feel that bad about it..

Changed the oil and winterized the engine this afternoon Eben. All done. There were some really good days this year. I saw alot of bigger class fish this year in my usual haunts. May and June were my best.

I am going to try one or two more times. I did start the snow blower and put the lawn tractor away though.

I sadly wrapped it up about a month ago. I'm back in college, working a ton of hours and just don't have enough time to fish. I just run out of time. Maybe Deval's "together we can" team can add a few extra hours to each day so I can fish.

I may make a few morning schoolie trips but no more nights.
As far as 2006 goes, this was going to be my big year, more trips than ever, longer nights, eels, new spots, etc ....but I caught fewer and smaller fish that ever. My largest fish was 18lbs. Need to drastically change my approach next year. Another season of this much effort and so few fish, I'm not sure if I'll keep this up.

Big 'Ol Bass

There's still a few left w/ my name on 'em. The big blow surely affected them, but I'm hoping that my 3:50am alarm is worth it after all... Going to my favorite spot... We'll see. Have gotten 3 keepers there, w/ 1 over 30#. Keep the hope alive!

Wrapped it up on November 1st. Cleaned up the Man-Cave today and am going to start making saw dust for the next few months.

Fair year for me overall. Caught my personal best this year in June. Things are changing going to fish harder May to July then the fall going forward. Out of town next week in St Louis then I will finish up the season the week after fishing down in Long Island for several days.

Wife is pissed, nothing done on house since April (in the middle of a partial reno. project) so to keep peace in the beetle house, I will start to "switch gears" to winter mode and get the hammer and nails out.....

But I'm not putting the gear away just yet

I'm done, Sat we had a few small bass and a few blues to 12 lbs in R.I. but like most tough fall on the cape and soco. Mostly small and you had to work for them. Still hope to try a cod and/or blackfish trip or two the next couple of weeks, but the rod rack are put away till next season.

Never....
They can take our lives but they cant take our Fishing!!!!!!

Actually I'm winding down, the water is still very warm, but without bait = no good fish, so I'll keep pluggin along for another 2 weeks.. after turkey day I'm almost done, except for blackfish...

Well at least for me, unless I take the big ride to Joisey.
I have a hard time driving 10 hrs to catch rats never mind a skunkin.

All done. Kid can't get another weekend off for a couple more weeks and I'm tired of catching soooooooooo many small fish. Bad year for big fish for me.
