And Now For Something Completely Different
This is a Guy that works in our UK office. Carp fishing is Very big over there and this is one of his latest catches.....38 lbs. 4oz. Carp.
Put it back to swim another day....they treat Carp like gold across the pond

There are guys that take it very serious here too! They use the same gear and methods used across the big pond. There was at least two episodes on OTW with brothers who are like that. One of the ponds they were at is around the corner from me (actually several with big carp ponds close by).

Ya & they have started some Carp fishing club //<i,ve read a couple of articles & saw the OTW show on these guys . I,ve also read at least two articles on guys coming over here to fish for them // Whatever pulls ya rod ><><><  |

The MA record was caught right @ where I striper fish on the CT in the spring. I think it was over 40#. I typically snag about one a year by accident. They fight a lot better then they look like they would!  |

Down in South Florida, a type of Asian carp has been imported to thin the canals of weeds, etc. A friend in Ft Lauderdale discovered that these carp often go crazy over what is falling off the trees.
He tied flies that look like mullberries and caught carp above 15 pounds - on 4-wt and 6-wt flies. It's fun, once and a while.
