I would say a spheros 8000 if you're not looking to spend alot. Never a bad idea to see if you can score a Penn 704/6 either.

With an 11 foot rod you should really use a vs250 or even a vs300

but I like the 250 just the right line retrieve for the way I fish

I would wait to see if a larger z baas comes out. I'm a happy vs owner but when you compare them to a z baas the z baas definitely looks alot nicer. Depth of spool, double pick up etc.

Funny that happened.

The reel shaft snapped on my Okuma Avenger the other night. I bought a Penn 650ssm. So much nicer.

If your looking for a longcast spool I would go with a Daiwa powersurf QD, there 180 bucks shipped to your door, 33lbs max drag, fit and finish is great, and they will cast looong.

vs200/vs250.
I would give the zeebaas a few years. At least to get its feet wet. Not that I doubt the quality. But I would want to see how the company pans out...
