My knee is pretty much toast....
I've been hobbling along since April, intial Dr. visit = knee strain = physical therapy.
second Dr. visit = ex-rays and MRI
called for results (hopeful for some good news) = torn meniscus and damaged cartiage.
Next Dr. visit is with Ortho surgeon.
Oh joy!

I feel your pain.Literally.Some days it gets to the point I have walk down stairs sideways.
Wrecked both knees in a car accident 9yrs back.Going to be turning 40 this year and I really don't know how much longer I'm going to be able put off a total replacement on the right and a partial on the left.

try freezing paper dixie cups filled with h20. rip them back as it melts.then ice down the pain area.it's better than a bag of ice and more effective.

This works wonders!
My physical therapist had me doing this for my most recent knee surgery last fall. it was number 4, scoped to clean out more torn meniscus and scar tissue from my other 3. good luck, doc's say i will probably need a total replacement by the time im 35...hopefully i can last that long
