When surfcasting, being........
tall certainly has it's advantages. Thats all I wanted to say, carry on.
|
Why even try.........

Tall means I have to take half as many steps on the rocks.....thus cutting the opportunity of turning an ankle in half!! Plus we can wade in deeper water...which I am guessing is what Flap is referring to?! Biggest disadvantage to being tall is when you catch a big fish.....they all look small in the pictures! There is your biggest advantage right there for being short......guys like Tagger can make a schoolie look like it weighs 40 pounds!! Just ribbin' you Ed!

Casting momentum - the biggest advantage, like a tall pitcher. A ten foot pole cast by a tall person is launching from way up.

.................you GIANTS have onehelluvalot farther to FALL.
not that i would wish anything like that on you and Flap,,,,,,,,,,,,
prolly hurts more the farther you fall
and another disadvantage would be that you guys are expected
to be able to reach farther and deeeeper; so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The needle I was using this week that outperformed all the others was only 5 inches long, yet the bass wanted it more than the others.
Hmmm... what a metaphor!

Flap can cast one helluva long ways. I can, of course, outcast him.........only not with the line attached.

One thing I hate about "M" is when some 6'6" d-bag in a wetsuit pushes the line out another ten feet..

I think that this little digression
has revealed the spot....
