Real low single digits here in Npt - just slightly above no degrees, I'd bet -

Stood in the yard for a while with the dogs around sun-up - when the snow starts creaking like that when ya step on it ya know it's cold -

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Go take a look at all those photos from sunny Florida you've badgered us with all winter. Those should warm you up.

Dude, go to your nearest health food store and buy slippery elm throat lozenges by Thayer.... they are cheap but are worth their weight in gold when it comes to bronchitis...

you can even make a tea with them or just buy the slippery elm powder and make your own but unlike most teas you'd have to strain it thru a regular coffee filter to have red clear liquid
then re-heat it

which kicks the hell out of all that G.D. PHLEM like magic !
Trust me on that

i used to get brochitus every year...but no more

thats great advice Karl

Spices double the power of your Immune system

slippery elm rolls up all that sticky mucilaginous phlem and sends it out the south tunnel

But all that coughing goes away s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g on the lozenge
as they are nutritive and healing to the throat... too

i'll take that recipe too please ........

that's the beauty of it striperman36 ...it's so slippery it's able to dislodge or unstick the phlem globs that's clinging to your to your throat around your windpipe area which causes a reactionary cough to clear it away so you can breath response.
that was a mouthful

Now second step is to make your spiciest recipe to boost your immune system ...and to take some extra vitamin C because you pee out 2/3 of what ever your taking?

BTW .......are you a cigarette smoker?

Then you need bioflavonoids next.... that white webbing or skin around an orange especially that center stem that runs between the sections down the middle... you want to eat that...don't toss it away (BIG mistake)
because that is like pure bioflavonoids and it works together
with vitamin C to make it much more effective. So go buy some big jumbo sized Oranges ....the easy peeling kind.

I reccommend you get an old film cannister plastic bottle and fill it up with chewable C and take it through out the day.

I used to make the grape juice foamy cocktail with welches grape juice and 10 chewable vitamin C and wiz it in the blender to shock your system....ANALOGY ->similar to clearing a pool of green algae with a full chlorine bottle then doing the usual maintenance....

avoid dairy products unless its acidic like yogurt.

Honey is a good cure all too... almost every vitamin and mineral can be found in honey and as Karl says get GREEN tea as it'll boost your immune system and metabolism as well.

sorry Karl I 'd much rather sweat than freeze anyday. Bring on the humidity. I would pick Hana or Hookipia, Maui instead of Fla. though.

i am a convert...i love the arctic air..not looking forward to March and April..those months seem colder because of the increase in moisture content...(the cussed humidity factor....) and them damn spring winds we get here..just drive it to the bone... even tho it is single digits, and possibly below, with the slight wind chill factor today, it feels better to me than one of them 30 degree March days, with the wind blowing that damp air right thru ya....

so dress correctly...bundle up, and get out and breathe some quality air!!!

True enough, it's nearly 30 here. I'm out to run for a while during the warmest part of the day.

lot of other things down there don't sit right with me either

wouldn't give ya a nickel for the whole state...

my good buddy Steve K. who travels all winter in his camper, just left me a damn funny voice mail...totally not PC...but he has had it with the "Sunshine" State as well...( almost getting whacked in some crossfire very early this AM on the freeway, down Miami way)...and hopes to be clear of the border late this afternoon....

i was working down in Miami
and even the lawyers there ripped me off

bass turds ..... their karma will catch up to them in time

i consider miami quite evil -especially at night
as any daytime ethics go down the toilet....

florida is so scenic it makes you high
it bewitches you in a way
casts a spell on you sorta....

i like the beaches and all that
but for me - it's a nice place to visit
and no place i'd want to Live
