I think they are just claiming another big one is coming. The odds are about 50-50, right where they usually are. If it happens again, i dont know what to do.

I went up on my roof today with my korkers on, shovel in hand... some serious weight on the roof! Its all compressed and heavier than one might think. spent 2 hours shovelling the entire roof, and all onto the driveway... got off the roof, and re-did the driveway for the second time in 2 days... I am so over this. I think I have a hernia!

I shoveled part of my roof the other day and had a neighbor shovel another section for me. I tried to melt the ice and remove it. The ice dams are crazy, i have two leaks now. One over the tub, not too bad. The other is dripping on my breaker box. SO i removed the gutter yesterday. Im not sure if i should put up new gutters this weekend or wait till spring. Any body care to chime in on it.

Had a similar problem while away on business. I came home to find a "faucet" running down the backside of my bow window.
Well I borrowed a snow rake because you can't buy one for any money right now. Got some of the snow off and used a 3# rubber hammer and broke up the ice dam over the window. Problem solved....for now.
I spend the better part of yesterday afternoon moving snow with the bucket loader. Thank God I have it. i don't know what you guys without one are doing. I have piles 12 to 15 feet high.

A Meteorologist, Dr. Miller, classified Nor Easters into two Categories, now named “Miller A” and “Miller B.” Miller A storms originate near the Gulf of Mexico and propagate up the Atlantic Coastline. Miller B storms usually cross the country at higher latitudes, similar to Manitoba Maulers (below), but then redevelop a coastal low over the Atlantic Coast. Miller B’s often bring heaviest snows to the New England region.
