Peepers 2019
Heard them last night. First time I noticed them. Late this year compared to past years' postings

Heard them early evening yesterday for the first time this year. Several weeks later than last year. However, last year we had them early March and then it was cold and snowy and they disappeared until beginning of April.

I first noticed them last Wednesday night along the cost in Connecticut. Stood in the front yard with my wife & son for about 5 minutes just after sunset listening to them sing away!

If I recall correctly, the peepers were a signal that the herring runs were likely starting to get busy, and the first dandelions were a sign to look for the first scouts/schoolies…. I think MikeP told me that.

Haven't heard peepers yet, but every morning turkeys are gobbling up a storm.
