Remembering Men in my RI unit I was Deployed with .. a 3rd just recently Passed Last week . 40 years old! from an Overdose .
sadly all three were Overdoses Addiction is no joke ..  |

I really don't have much planned this weekend. Working a ton of hours lately so I think I am going to slow down a bit for the weekend.

Yes, I remember. Never forgot how poorly Vietnam veterans were treated back then. Totally unfortunate to have to fight a very unpopular war; a great historical wrong.

Real well. I had been waiting for a heavy rain. Pile was about 30' in dia and 10' high. Couple of gallons of diesel and you can get anything to burn. |

I take daily care of my elderly Dad.
Korean War vet, Marines. He never really spoke much about his time over there. The last few days he did, telling me about his friends who lost their lives there. His eyes were red rimmed and teary, as mine.
I can’t imagine what the young men and women of all wars experienced. I’m forever grateful for all who have and will serve. You are the best of us.
