I bought about 15 or so ( ok maybe more). I do not need any more plugs. However, when you see some at a show, store ect.. it can be tough to hold back.

I'd have to say 20 per year, even though I use eels and cheap bombers or sluggos the most. I like to support Bigfish Larry, Salty, Afterhours, Surf Asylums, Habs, RMs, etc., and the other plug makers at the shows I attend, as well as some of the local B & Ts. The craftmanship is a joy to behold, but I find myself afraid to use them is some areas where loosing them is easy (too much structure or heavy weed areas). I have no intention on selling these and hope to use all of them over time or pass on to friend and my kids.
After attending the Dadfishermans tutorial for the kids with the PI club, I finished one with my daughter that I was able to catch some large blues with, and thankfully did not lose it (I don't use metal leaders, but heavy mono of flouro). Thanks Kev. I may try some of Salty's kits in the future. Maybe I'll get a lathe in the near future and take a crack at a new hobby.

20+

I think I bought at least that many at RISSA "08"

And being a Berkeley Striper Club member and living close by to the Asbury Park Fishing Club doesn't help either each spring here in Jersey

But times are changing and I no longer peep at the bay anymore looking for deals and I am not so sure I will be able to make it to RI for the show this year either..

I see alot of fishermen selling stashes of plugs lately in the B/S/T forums and I just have to look away or I will go nuts..

Alot each season. Always looking for that special fish catcher. Carry around too many when I fish. Always end up using eels, live or rigged or sluggos and redfins/yozuri mag darter/surface skin swimmer. I wish I could be disciplined enough to use other stuff which I vow to do each season but end up chickening out. Next season I am giong to use some of the fine stuff that is availble now more than ever.

I buy a few SS darters to lose and maybe a few Gibbs too. But the guys I fish with look at me funny if I'm not using one that they made and gave me.

Just don't ask me how many reels I bought last year.
