HURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY...
DEEP CLOSED UPPER LEVEL LOW MOVING ACROSS THE MID ATLANTIC STATES
WILL LIKELY RESULT IN CYCLOGENESIS SOMEWHERE OFF THE SOUTHERN NEW
ENGLAND COAST. WE ARE STILL ABOUT 96 HOURS FROM THIS EVENT SO IT
REMAINS UNCERTAIN HOW QUICKLY THE LOW WILL STRENGTHEN AND ITS EXACT
LOCATION. THE 12Z GFS HAS THE LOW RAPIDLY INTENSIFYING NEAR THE
SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND COAST WITH THE SYSTEM THEN BECOMING VERTICALLY
STACKED. THIS WOULD MEAN HEAVY RAIN WITH STRONG WINDS ALONG THE
COAST AND THE POTENTIAL FOR MINOR COASTAL FLOODING/BEACH EROSION
DURING THE FRIDAY HIGH TIDE CYCLE. HOWEVER...THE 12Z ECMWF/UKMET
STILL SHOW A DECENT LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BUT ARE MORE PROGRESSIVE AND
LESS INTENSE THAN THEIR RUNS OF 12 TO 24 HOURS AGO.
REGARDLESS...HAVE ENOUGH CONFIDENCE TO RUN WITH LIKELY TO LOW END
CATEGORICAL POPS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY WITH RAIN.
any weather word with genesis at the end is really not good.

That's where I was only at high tide, took me 2 seconds to look ath the inlet and go "not happening". The beach took me 1 cast (7 foot waves). The bridge was a joke.

It's supposed to blow 10-15 out of the WSW constantly until Friday, was out in a boat tonight and it went from millpond to 3-5 footers very quickly in New Haven, too bad because there are some big fish in the sound right now.

Agreed, I am a patient person and still make attempts at the beach but this is on the ridiculous side now, water is still warm enough to swim in. I must say this fall season is really making me think I just fail at fishing.
Oh, and all I can do is give the finger to the weather channel each night with the forecast of 15-20 knots constant with 6'+ waves.

So did I.
Wind finally let go to a fishable level, but for me surf was deathly big. Tried to make it out to my rock, but it was fruitless.
I know there are big fish in this spot right now. Just can't get to em.
Took my eels for a nice walk.
At least I didn't pee in my wetsuit....................
F you motha nature.

Thumper and I hung out in the wind getting blasted, both of us stalling as if the wind would somehow magically die down... it didn't.
