I went on the site and got a little dizzy, too much stuff. When i want to figure anything out in the fishing world this is the spot. When i want to sell something that is the place. I am surprised he doesnt charge a fee for the BST. I suspect that day is coming, if it was my site i would.

Everything is better on the rocks.

I agree with this. Also to the guys who complain about the other site because they don't like the rules, well that's what happens when your on someone's site or jobsite, they all have rules.

Yes, I feel like I have literally peed-my-pants "Myles Davis" style at a few of the TFCTFN's. I kinda feel like we're the judgement free zone on this side. I've never had a mean word to or for Tim, personally

I have been kicked off both sites but John let me back on. Tim is like a Little Ceasar and if you happen to have an opposing view,or disagree with him,he will ostracize you. A my way or the highway, pompous #^&#^&#^&#^& head.

Tim makes $ off the site and never forgets that - which is his right. Anyone who forgets or ignores that is going to have problems. I met him once when I use to fish the NJ jetties. He was a nice guy. I've never had a problem there.

I'm pretty sure Tim sold that site a while back, hence all the new banners, advertisers and whatevers.....

He was pretty much missing-in-action from the ste fro several months last year. I think he started a new job/venture and is just helping to run the place at this point

A) I'm smart enough not to call the owner of a site an ahole... and B) also smart enough to know that if I did I might not be welcome there any more. And, I'm not all that smart.

I agree, both sites have their place, I am here 99% of the time.
I do look at the other site from time to time. Frankly I shied away from SOL because of what I heard about "rules" but that's the way it is. You don't like it start your own site. Good luck having time to fish.

If it happens in a private message....?

One thing SOL does, by having their political forum, is to make ScottW and Jim look almost sane! (Almost)

Sometimes there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. While I am reasonably sure I have been called an ahole in PMs I have not gone looting around in PMs to find out. It would be fairly easy for a site admin to do and nobody would be the wiser but that is not the environment I want to work in nor provide for others. Law enforcement starts knocking on the door, maybe the PMs get opened - depends on the scenario.

yes this is the same one I am getting- this after I got a 503 error and then a few days a 404 error.

Maybe he should have shut it down for 5 days and got it done right.
