First Signs of Spring
Heard, then saw, a red wing blackbird, perched on some reeds along brackish water.
Won't be long till peepers start makin' some noise. Heard that herring scouts are starting to show up as well.

Lol let it snow, let snow, let it snow. Next weeks forecast shows snow/rain mix in several days, hopefully that changes.
I had 4 robins in my backyard Sunday. The birds know more than I do, I'll go along that it's spring now. Saturday projected 64 here with rain all day, my basement is going to flood something fierce. Hope the washer and dryer float.

Pretty sure I'm watching birds out front working over herring right now. Heading North!

Having heard osprey have arrived in Narragansett, I imagine herring are trickling in.

hearing turkey's gobble and seeing the deer flushed from the wintering yards looking for the first green shoots... many of the ones I have seen are heavy with fawns...
