You have all of my thoughts and prayers, Chris. Call me if there is anything that I can do and I will be there...even if I have to take a bus to CT.
Your Pal,
Rick

Chris, thoughts for your Mom. My wife of 29-1/2 years lost her battle with cancer January 16 of this year and my Mom just entered hospice for her battle. It is a horrible thing to see someone go through. All you can do is live and appreciate each day..........

If I have learned anything in this process is you need to LIVE life for whatever days you have. None of us know how long we have so live each day as if it was your last!
Losing my wife is the hardest thing I have ever dealt with in my life and the second most isn't even close.
Sorry to highjack the thread. Chris what you will find is you have far more friends than you realized and far more people that care. Don't try to to deal with this on your own use the love that will come your way.

I feel for you Jeff and ,I can't imagine losing my wife/partner in crime, but I too had a rough 2015.
I buried 7 family members and put my pup's down the Monday before t day.
Find it within and you will find your place. Bluecrab was a Huge part in helping me find my solitude.
And I'm still here thanks to him.
I wish you well buddy and stay strong. As always Chris, I hope you have closure with your mom God bless and God speed.

5/0 thank you for your words and sorry for your loses and difficult 2015.
I see you are from Mansfield my wife was born and raised in Foxboro and was a die hard Pats fan. This November my sister in law managed through connections where she works get my wife a Tom Brady signed football with a personalized note from him on it. I can still see the smile and happy tears when she got it.
She was only 53 years old and I miss her dearly.

Chris, ...I'm sorry if I don't have words of encouragement, as you already know, no words can really take away from the feelings you have right now. Despite her age or condition, she is your mom. It just sucks, plain and simple. And for that, I am truly sorry...I will definitely include her in my prayers tonight.
We lost someone today to Cancer, she too had turned it around for short time, then suddenly it returned with a vengeance. Hospice right away...and they gave her 3 weeks. She lasted 1 week and a half, it just happened so damn fast.
If you can, take the time you need (albeit sick, personal or family leave), spend enough time with her to leave nothing unsaid. As hard as it is to face, it will come sooner than you expect...like a thief in the night. You can never be ready for it, but try to get as many "I should have said this, or should have done thats" out of the way while there is still time. Hug her often Chris, you will miss those... As our Mikey clearly puts it, "Enjoy what you have"....I can only add to that, ...while you have it my friend.
It's tough to find light in the darkness, but it's there.
Prayers that the suffering will be minimal. May God Bless you Mary ~
Sympathies to Jeff as well. It's tough riding shotgun to someone with this disease, it takes a lot out of you. It's great that members can share their experiences to help others as they go through it themselves.
God Bless us all.

The posts of late are an indication of how long this board has been around. Sadly age is catching up to many of us and it's good to have a good group of people to support you and throw you some T&P's your way. I remember this board was an important part of my day when my parents were dying, it took me to a happy place for a time and got my mind off my troubles. Hang in there Chris, my thoughts are with you.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Chris, I'm sorry to hear the news but stay strong for your Mom. I'm a cancer survivor and all the support I received helped me through the remission, re-occurrence and remission again.
I will pray for your Mom.

I finally have had a few minutes to read what you all have had to say and THANK YOU from my family and from my heart . Today Mom had a good day . I hug and kiss her every day and let her know how wonderful of a Mom she has been , just in case she forgets I told her yesterday .
Mom appreciates all the words that have been spoken on her behalf .
