Double loser

My knots suck. I had an albie in this AM an sure enough the knot slipped. Same thing happened striper fishing with Clammer a few weeks ago. To top it off I was fighting a pretty good cow when she ducked into some rocks and I frigging broke my line trying to pull the bitch out. Then of course I caught a monster bluefish that chewed the crap out of a Yuzri Crystal Minniow at 8 bucks a pop. I suck and fishing sucks. We all have to be a bunch if idiots to put up with this stupid hobby. WORST YEAR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We put up with this hobby because for every bad day you know there will be one where the fish are breaking everywhere and your doing everything right. That's why it's called fishing not catching.

HAMMER TIME!

Duke, I had the same problems till I learned the Palimar knot. It's frustrating isn't it? But, I guees that's how we learn. Don't give up. Better days will come.

So far the seaweed has been unable to bust my knots.

Now, if I was catching Fish, maybe it would be different

to make you feel better, I lost a moose while fishing with clammer due to knot failure.... I learned from it.

I've been using the albright knot for mono to braid connection..easier to tie. The palomar knot is great for braid to barrel swivel connection.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Make sure you wet the knot before you tie it. Some split, or charter buddy I know uses some soapy water (hvy mono over 80 lbs) in a bottle.

Palomar is easy and extremely strong. Berkley knot is easy to tie as well. Simple clinch is fine as long as you wet it.

Albreight to mono-braid is awesome.

At least you are getting fish on! You have stories to tell as well.

I said that to my buddy who while bringing a 40+# fish into the boat slipped and let the fish go. I was upset for a while and he felt so bad so I told him the quote, to this day he still feels bad.
