Me & GB had spring fever today

Good day, bad day situation. Good for the fishing and who said winter holdovers have to be small ones . GB caught some nice ones as did friend Drew who's just too homley to photograph...just kidding drew.

Even the outboard shifted today, which with the warm weather still has me confused. Guess it felt like spring as well. Then the trolling motor crapped out, but luckily found a badly corroded inline fuse was the problem at home in the driveway come end of the day.

Back to work now, thought you'd enjoy the pics. Eat your heart out BM, when you going to join me for a day. Pick that Slipknot character up on your way north.

Got to get to an electrical supply house and get me a handful of 6 gauge connectors, but I will be good to go come the weekend. Sunday looks to be 51 degrees and sunny, hows that sound for a nice winter outting. It will be crowded, so we might want to get an earlier start. Give me a call sometime Saturday and I'll give you an update on my readiness.

Well, I haven't registered the trailer and boat yet. I'm waiting for my insurance stuff and for my rebate check from Triumph, which I will use to pay the tax (I bought the boat in RI and will have to pay the tax upon registration). I don't really need to wait for it, but that was my plan.

The tracker is ready though if I need to go prior to getting the new boat up and ready, and is just fine for the Thames. I threw the bow-mount minn kota back on.

I can't go this weekend, but if the weather remains mild, maybe soon. I don't know if anyone is up for a day of hooky.

I'd say if I don't get my rebate check this weekend, I'll probably just go ahead and get the reg. work done next week. Than maybe we could find a day to get down there. Maybe get Fisherwomen to join us?

Sound good?

Fisherwoman, still any cod accessible in the harbor that you know of? Again, if I get the boat stuff done, there is another opportunity to catch a fix... would you and BC be interested. Assuming you aren't ready to get your boat out.

Funny this year, only a handful of the "shake & bake" fish and I don't know why. There are a lot more fish in the river as well, so maybe it's a sign that the river is getting clean, although I'm not going for a swim in it .
