Wife is pissed, nothing done on house since April (in the middle of a partial reno. project) so to keep peace in the beetle house, I will start to "switch gears" to winter mode and get the hammer and nails out.....
But I'm not putting the gear away just yet

Tony:
I had such a great year in the Bay on my boat. I just can't stay motivated to fish all night hopping rock for a skunk.
I know, I know, boat fish don't count but when I can catch and release 5, 30 lb + in a couple of hours on my boat, I just don't see the point of killing myself in the surf anymore.
41 years I in the surf has finally started to catch up with me. Knees, back, legs all hurt in November. See you in the Spring.

I'm done, Sat we had a few small bass and a few blues to 12 lbs in R.I. but like most tough fall on the cape and soco. Mostly small and you had to work for them. Still hope to try a cod and/or blackfish trip or two the next couple of weeks, but the rod rack are put away till next season.

Never....
They can take our lives but they cant take our Fishing!!!!!!
Actually I'm winding down, the water is still very warm, but without bait = no good fish, so I'll keep pluggin along for another 2 weeks.. after turkey day I'm almost done, except for blackfish...

I hate to say it but I ...think...that's...all...folks.
Well at least for me, unless I take the big ride to Joisey.
I have a hard time driving 10 hrs to catch rats never mind a skunkin.

I just brought my gear to the storage unit today. There were a few tears. But trout fishing is still very good! Right? At least there is a tug on the end of my line. Besides, it's almost April!!

canalman and I were talkin about it the other night as us and Redcrabber pulled our pork for a while.
We have never felt so defeated so early in the year.
The weather is so warm and fishable and dark, but the waters around us that are usually prime time right now still look like a large regular Dunks coffee. It has been brown for over 2 weeks now since that big storm. and the reports from further south (or west) are pretty dismal as well.
sad to say, but I think the fat lady has sang......
but then agian, I will let you know in a little while. I still got a dozen select eels that I have somehow managed not to kill, so I either gots to swim them, or free them (or decorate some cars)....
I'm off for some more punishment...Tonite is THE NITE. It has GOT to happen...or its "Plan B" sesaon fo me.......
ad to say it,
