I wasn't able to get Alaskan cedar so I got some mahogany and cedar dowels. That is tubebraid , it looks awesome in person. It has enough wieght to float with the tip up slightly.
I caught a fish at Watch Hill Sat. night on my first cast with it. Habs says I should retire it now. I can make more.

Question

OK - so do we have a vote? Sounds like we need a plug builders forum. Tatoo & Slip for Forum leaders?

And start up some location based forums?

Cape Cod & the Islands & the Ditch?
South Shore Mass to Cape Anne?
Points North?
Rhody & CT?
Points South & West?

(Saltheart and I have, of course, complete moderation capabilities as well )

BM and Slip that is some nice work. I went out last night looking for a lathe. The minis at Wood workers were 300 and up. Slip how do you like rigid tools. The reason I am asking is I can get a full size for about 300 at home depot, then I can do pool cues and shafts also. My buddy works at Home depot and he may happen to find an "open box discounted one" if ya know what I mean.

John this place is getting popular. It might be nice to do it like you said.

Tatoo those are some nice plugs. If we start a plug building forum you guys might have to run a work shop somewhere.

Shoot...anybody can make a pointy stick and put hooks on it.Needles are nice but variety is the spice of life. Here's my stuff.
Hands off BM!!!
Didya ever notice BM has little squid like suction cups on his fingers?Plugs just naturally stick to his fingers.Goes with the webby toes.
I still got my plugs cause tattoo and slip run interference for me now.
Hey Tattoo!I think that's really funny how you tell BM those darters are 2 oz. when there really 6 oz. It was a real hoot when he busted his rod last week.Think'll figger it out?....Nah.Not a chance.I think he should get one of them ugly stick thangs.
Wait'll he finds out I cut his line every 100 ft and spooled it back on his reel.

LMAO - I'm thinking that both should be co-conspirators on the board - if they want to. Besides - it looks like there will be a team effort needed to stop this:

FOLK'S
I THOUGHT I WAS BAD. THIS JUST CONFERMS WHAT I HAVE KNOWN FOR YEARS. FISHING STRIPERS IS NOT A SPORT, IT IS AN ADDICTION. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MUCH FISH CANDY! REMEMBER IT IS NOT SO MUCH ABOUT LENGTH, WIDTH, AND COLOR.AS IT IS ALSO ABOUT “PRESANTATION”.

Snakes huh? Maybe you could try out a "prototype" eel skin swimmer?

I haven't built one so it would really be a prototype.
